Magazine Front Cover

 This is my Final front cover on both the right third and left third there is a lot of information that will tell you all about what is inside. Also the i decided to stick with my colour scheme and use bring colours to attract a younger audience. I struggled to find what picture to used but finally came to use this picture and I think that its the right choice.

Double page spread

i finally made my double page spread on in design. we decided to use this programme because it would show us the actual to page spread instead of having to work on two individual different things without knowing how to put stuff across two pages. So on in design we could see the whole layout. i decided to stick to my colour scheme of pink and purple. I wanted to get as much information about the boy band in as possible so i made it clear when the magazine was talking and when the boys were talking. i decided to do a little fact file on each of them so that people who read the magazine could get to know the boy band better. I also put in a colour of facts about the boys so that girl who read the magazine can get some more knowledge on the boyband as a whole.

Here i decided that instead of using a pop magazines contents to help relate i decided to look at Glamours contents page because this is aimed at women so i thought that doing this would help attract the older part of my target market (20-25). I wanted my boy band story to be the main feature of this page as it is my double page spread. i have sourced the picture of Ryan Gosling in another post. i tried to fill as much space on the page as i could without it being to overloaded. i stuck with the same colour as i used on my front cover. I wanted to do a kind of banner on the top and the bottom and i believe that it makes the page ook as though there is more going on.

How did you attract/address your audience?

I addressed my audience firstly by getting people to take a survey answering questions about what they like. I then went on to calculate my results and came up with my answers. A lot of the girls said they liked pink and purple so i tried to incorporate this as much as possible on the front cover to attract them in. My survey also showed that girls like boy bands and so I created my own, calling them the new one direction. This will also attract my audience as they are young girls who love boys and also love one direction. I used the conventions of a typical magazine like glamour. I also used bright colours and pictures that look directly at my audience to pull them in.
